Small Boat Racing
Small boat racing is held each Thursday night from May to September. Check SMSA's webpage for details and sailing instructions. NPSC as a group does not currently participate in the SMSA Thursday Night Race series. Those interested in racing small boats, please contact the Training Commodore for additional details on how to participate.
Big Boat Racing
Frostbite Races are held on Sundays starting in March; check SMSA's schedule.
Come out and help us race the Luders Yawls Alert and Vigilant
on the Patuxent River.
NPSC members only, cost is $7 per person.
Special Rules for Frostbite Races:
- Crew without yawl experience are required to
attend at least one practice. There will sometimes be a practice on the Saturday before the race at 1:00 P.M.
- PFDs are required
- Crew under age 16 are not allowed.

The normal sequence of events is that the Race Chair will post the next race to the Yahoo!
Group for signups; you must be an NPSC member to race. Racers are selected on a first-reply, first served basis.
